Rep. Madison Cawthorn's Question About 'The Biggest Lie' Backfires Spectacularly

Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) Posted a question on Twitter, and his critics were ready with some answers.
They almost certainly weren't who he had in mind.
"What's the biggest lie a politician has ever told?" asked Cawthorn as he tried to beat up President Joe Biden. But he was quickly reminded of some of his own whoppers, such as his campaign ads boasting that he was for the U.S. Naval Academy nominated and that he planned to serve in the Navy until a car accident left him in a wheelchair.
In reality, Cawthorn was rejected by the Naval Academy prior to the accident, as Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) Pointed out:
Cawthorn was also accused of lying about the car accident itself.
Cawthorn, a staunch ally of Donald Trump, helped uphold the “big lie” about the 2020 election, and earlier this year he warned of “bloodshed” while repeating these false claims.
Cawthorn, who has been criticized for his “bucket list” photos of the vacation spot of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, also spoke at the January 6 rally that preceded the deadly attack on the US Capitol. He described the rioters arrested in connection with the violence as "political prisoners".
With this story in mind, Cawthorn's critics on Twitter had some thoughts about the "greatest lie" ever told:
