Report: Josh Gordon hasn’t satisfied conditions of his reinstatement to practice, play
The NFL hired Josh Gordon back on December 3 under certain conditions, and the Seahawks activated the recipient on their list on Monday with the expectation that he would return this week. He will not.
Gordon is still not allowed to practice or play.
The league's transactions on Tuesday showed he was returning to the exception list.
Seattle Times' Bob Condotta reports that the NFL informed Gordon and the Seahawks on Tuesday that the recipient did not meet all of the terms of his conditional reinstatement. He may only continue to participate in team meetings and individual workouts.
Gordon hasn't played since December 15, 2019.
The NFL suspended him indefinitely for violating substance abuse and drug performance enhancing guidelines. Gordon's attorney said in a statement that Gordon relapsed after his brother died last November.
The Seahawks challenged Gordon from the Patriots last November. He appeared in five games for the team prior to suspension and caught seven passes for 139 yards during his time with the team.
Report: Josh Gordon did not qualify for his reinstatement to practice. The game was originally published in Pro Football Talk
