Report: Nets no longer offering Kyrie Irving $187M contract extension

Nets CEO Sean Marks said he was confident that Kyrie Irving would sign a contract extension until the training camp begins.
Of course, Marks also said he was confident Irving would meet the New York City vaccine mandate, and Irving remains unvaccinated.
Almost certainly in this context, this maximum extension - which is said to have a value of 187 million US dollars over four years - "is no longer offered," said Shams Charania of The Athletic on the podcast "The Glue Guys".
Irving obviously has other concerns than money.
He is already at risk of $ 381,181 base salary per game missed due to mandate. For the entire season, he could lose $ 17,153,155 plus another $ 381,181 per postseason game.
The union could oppose the NBA's plan to cut his salary. Brooklyn will pay him to play street games (presumably except against the Knicks). But that's a lot of money to keep it open.
And that before he even got the $ 187 million extension he could have gotten.
Would the nets offer Irving the extension if he got vaccinated? Or are you so tired of the fact that it is unreliable and difficult that you are no longer willing to invest so much money?
In contrast to James Harden - who can only be extended until the beginning of the regular season due to his two-year contract period - Irving could sign his extension at any time before his current contract expires.
Of course, something would have to give way with its unavailability. Although the mandate prevented Irving from playing home games, the Nets decided to place him for street games and practice sessions. You are not going to offer him a large extension under these circumstances.
