Reports: Soon-to-be Florida Man Donald Trump would like an airport named in his honor
Ready to take off from Donald J. Trump Airport in Palm Beach County?
Reports are circulating that the president, due to resign on Jan. 20, has asked aides and advisers what it takes to name an airport in his honor, the Daily Beast reported.
Judd Deere, Assistant Secretary of the White House, would not confirm to the Miami Herald whether these chats took place.

"Off record - we don't comment on private conversations," Deere said in an email on Saturday.
But with Palm Beach International just a few miles from Mar-a-Lago, where Trump, his wife, and son Barron are expected to live, it seems like the most likely airport he would rename in his honor if he is want.
Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International cannot be excluded either. Both are also not far from Trump's family outings in his proposed adopted homeland.
According to reports, Melania Trump recently attended Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale as a potential school for the couple's teenage son, Barron.
Daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner bought a $ 30 million property in Indian Creek Village in Miami-Dade County in early December.
Christian Ziegler, a top Florida Republican Party official, suggested that Palm Beach International be renamed Trump International Airport. As such, it would be "the gateway to South Florida for the ex-president's avid fans," reported the Sun Sentinel.
A spokeswoman for Palm Beach International told the Sun-Sentinel that the airport had not been approached because of a name change.
According to reports, South Florida could also be considered the location of a presidential library.
“We should definitely be looking for a presidential library in Florida. It would be a fantastic economic factor, ”Ziegler told the Sun-Sentinel.
The library may be easier to build.
Have an airport named after a president
To get an airport named after a president, “a local government must be ready to entertain the idea,” according to The Points Guy.
It would help if the state is red.
Florida a Conservative Red State: Check. The state's 29 electoral votes went to Trump after receiving more votes in Florida than President-elect Joe Biden.
The Palm Beach County Commission would have to take on the task of pushing for a renaming of their airport, reports the WPLG.
Palm Beach selected Biden, who received 56.1% of the vote in the November presidential election, according to state election results.
Biden won Miami-Dade with 53.4% and Broward with 64.6%.
Trump carried the Florida Keys with 53.5% of the vote, but Monroe's small airport isn't the international mega-site Trump would likely prefer.
None of this, of course, means that a commission has to vote on the election results.
As for the big guy, Trump isn't yet tweeting about airports or libraries.
Washington to Clinton airports
Should Trump get an airport in the US, he would join the ranks of 10 former presidents with designated airports from both major parties.
These presidents include Abraham Lincoln (Springfield, Illinois), Theodore Roosevelt (Dickinson, North Dakota), Dwight Eisenhower (Wichita, Kansas), John F. Kennedy (New York), Gerald R. Ford (Grand Rapids, Michigan), and George Washington and Ronald Reagan (together with Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Virginia) and George HW Bush (Houston).
In March 2012, Adams Field in Little Rock, Arkansas was renamed Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport.
Jimmy Carter has a regional airport in Georgia named after him. Obama? Not yet.
