Rick Hahn: Ozzie Guillén will not be candidate for White Sox manager job

Ozzie will not be a candidate for the Sox Manager job that originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
Only one name was officially removed from the list of candidates to replace Rick Renteria as the White Sox manager.
General Manager Rick Hahn decided to quell a stream of speculation on Monday, the day the team announced it had separated from Renteria and was looking for a new skipper, stating that the former White Sox Manager Ozzie Guillén would not return to his old post.

Guillén was a popular choice to replace Renteria before the White Sox even made the decision to move to a new manager. Guillén ran the White Sox for eight seasons from 2004 to 2011 and led the team to a World Cup in 2005. He became a franchise and Chicago sports icon, not only to end the 88-year White Sox championship drought, but also for his entertaining personality, something he used as an analyst for coverage before and again after the game from NBC Sports Chicago.
But despite a flurry of social media suggestions that the White Sox are bringing Guillén back to lead a team with World Series expectations, Hahn said the team wouldn't go down that route.
"We have tremendous respect, appreciation and love for Ozzie for what he did during his tenure as manager for this organization and are thrilled that he is still part of the organization," said Hahn on Monday. "But Jerry (Reinsdorf), Kenny (Williams) and I have spent a lot of time rethinking this in terms of future fit and we are not feeling that right now, with this team, with where we are and the best way to go To take it to the next level, we didn't feel like Ozzie was going to be the right fit.
