Ronaldo, Bonucci apologise for 'worst' Juventus of season

Cristiano Ronaldo and Leonardo Bonucci apologized to Juventus fans on Wednesday for the "worst" performance of the season, when the Italian champions were beaten in Serie A for the first time this season against Fiorentina.
The 'Bianconeri' played most of the game against a man after Juan Cuadrado was sent off after fifteen minutes at Allianz Stadium. He lost 3-0 to the Tuscan team, who are in 15th place after a winless run with eight games.
"The worst Juventus in this first part of the season. First of all, I apologize to the fans on my behalf. There is nothing to add," wrote defender Bonucci on Instagram.
Ronaldo achieved "a far from acceptable result" when the Portuguese star failed to improve his previous record of 12 league goals in Serie A.
"Yesterday we finished our planned games for 2020, a special year in many ways, with a poor performance and a far from acceptable result," said the five-time Ballon d'Or winner on Instagram.
"Empty stadiums, COVID logs, postponed games, long interruptions and a very tight calendar.
"But that's not an excuse for anything. We know that we have to give more of ourselves to play better and win more consistently."
"We're Juventus! And we just can't accept anything less than excellent performance on the pitch!"
"I hope this short break can help us to come back stronger and more united than ever because the season is far from over and we believe we will celebrate with our fans again at the end."
"Believe in us, trust our team as much as we trust you, and we will deliver! Fino Alla Fine!"
The defeat came hours after the nine-time reigning Serie A champions learned they would have to play the Napoli game, which was canceled on October 4 after the southerners decided not to travel to Turin due to coronavirus cases.
Napoli won his appointment with the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) after a 3-0 defeat and a point deduction.
Juventus, who started the day with 27 points, finished it with 24 points.
Juventus are fourth in Serie A, level on points with Napoli and Roma, and seven points behind AC Milan. The three will play their last game before Christmas on Wednesday.
Andrea Pirlos Juventus has only won six of its 13 league games with six draws and one defeat this season.
You will play at home against Udinese on January 3rd.
