Now that the countdown to Christmas has officially started, the British royal family has already started to get into the Christmas spirit by decorating their glamorous tree at Windsor Castle.
Last week, the official Instagram account dedicated to the Royal Collection Trust unveiled an exclusive first look at the Christmas tree, which this year is right in St George's Hall at the royal residence. The charity said the tree is completely covered in 3,000 lights, hundreds of dazzling jewel-shaped ornaments, purple velvet and satin ribbons.
According to People, the Christmas tree will be on full display by January 2, 2023. Visitors can see the tree inside the royal residence, which is decorated for the first Christmas season since King Charles ascended the throne. And the holiday celebrations don't stop there: for three days in December, Christmas carols are sung by the tree at St George's Hall.

This will be the first year the royal family will celebrate Christmas without Queen Elizabeth, who sadly passed away last September at the age of 96. Although their plans have not yet been announced, members of the family usually spend the holidays at Sandringham, Her Majesty's cherished country home in Norfolk.
