A lawyer for Lyubov Sobol says she was detained for 48 hours after questioning.
He says they took her from her home and confiscated a laptop.

The Russian authorities confirmed on Friday (December 25) that they had initiated criminal proceedings but did not mention the detention.
Sobol is accused of forcibly entering an apartment that her supporters say is linked to a secret agent involved in a plot to kill Navalny.
The offense can result in a prison sentence of up to two years.
Navalny was the target of poisoning, which he accuses the Russian FSB security service.
The FSB denies its report on the incident.
However, the move against Sobol is the latest move against political opposition ahead of next year's parliamentary elections.
She plans to run for office, though outspoken Kremlin critics are often prevented from standing.
Navalny wrote on Twitter that authorities intended Sobol's arrest as a warning not to investigate his poisoning.
