Ryan Murphy’s ‘American Horror Stories’ Anthology and ‘Y: The Last Man’ Become FX on Hulu Shows
FX on Hulu was expanded on Monday in Ryan Murphy's upcoming anthology "American Horror Stories" and the work in progress of "Y: The Last Man" to include two new features.
The two join the upcoming FX series of the Hulu series "The Old Man" and "A Teacher". The FX on Hulu shows by FX Productions, which were produced exclusively for the Hulu brand, started in March.
Hulu made the announcements during his virtual Newfront presentation on Monday.

Murphy's new "AHS" anthology will have a different horror story in each episode. As for the original "American Horror Story", which still runs on FX, the upcoming 10th season of 2021 will be broadcast. Murphy told TheWrap in April that his plan for the "American Horror Story" season 10 was a "weather-dependent" topic. Inability to shoot for COVID-19 in the summer caused him to postpone the next season until next year. The previously announced cast for season 10 of "AHS" includes series newcomer Macaulay Culkin and AHS alums Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross and Finn Wittrock.
"Y: The Last Man" had a problematic production that dates back to 2015. The adaptation received a pilot order in April 2018 and the show was ordered in series at the beginning of 2019. Two months later, the drama lost both original showrunners, Michael Green and Aida Mashaka Croal, who broke creative differences. Eliza Clark signed two months later to replace her. In early 2020, Barry Keoghan, who was supposed to play the leading role as Yorick Brown, left the series. He was replaced by Ben Schnetzer, who joined a cast that included Diane Lane, Amber Tamblyn, Imogen Poots, Lashana Lynch, Juliana Canfield and Marin Ireland.

The series is based on Brian K. Vaughn and Pia Guerra's award-winning DC Comics science fiction comic.
In addition, Hulu's upcoming comedy series with Steve Martin and Martin Short officially bears the title "Only Murders in the Building". The series follows three New Yorkers who have a mutual interest in solving real crimes - but limit their amateur investigations only to murders in their building.
Martin created and wrote the series with John Hoffman. In addition to Short and "This Is Us" creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal, the two will be executive producers.
