Sandra Bullock to Produce and Star in ‘The Lost City of D,’ Ryan Reynolds in Talks to Co-Star

Sandra Bullock is determined to produce a romantic adventure film in Paramount called "The Lost City of D," one person with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.
Adam and Aaron Nee, who are included in the "Masters of the Universe" film on Netflix, will direct the film. And the project also sees Ryan Reynolds as the male lead opposite Bullock in mind, but Reynolds has no deal and he's just loosely connected at this point.
However, if the two reunited on screen, it would be the first time since the 2009 romantic comedy The Proposal.

In “The Lost City of D” Bullock will star as a writer who discovers that a supposedly fictional city she wrote about is actually real, and she sets out to find it just to see it to be accompanied by an actor portraying a character from her book. The film is a screwball adventure that contains mismatched romantic lead roles and is based on older, star-driven romances like "Romancing the Stone".
Seth Gordon developed the idea and treatment for "The Lost City of D," and Dana Fox wrote the latest draft of the script. Bullock produces on her Fortis Films banner, as does Gordon on Exhibit A's Liza Chasin wand for 3dot Productions.
Bullock was last seen in 2018 in the blockbuster horror film for Netflix "Bird Box".
Bullock is represented by CAA and Ziffren Brittenham. Adam and Aaron Nee are represented by CAA and LBI Entertainment.
