Saturday’s Xfinity race at Miami: Start time, forecast and more

The first double header of a weekend with two races for the NASCAR Xfinity Series takes place on Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The race takes the green flag shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET (Fox, Motor Racing Network, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) and precedes a Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race later that night (7:30 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM).
The second race of the double header weekend of the Xfinity series - and which also includes the second episode of the Xfinity Dash 4 Cash series with four races - takes place on the Sunday before the main event of the weekend, the NASCAR Cup race there.
Also note: Saturday's race is the only behind-the-wheel start for NASCAR in 2020 for NBC analyst Dale Earnhardt Jr., who will drive the JR Motorsports Chevrolet No. 8.

START: The command to start the motors is given at 3.35 p.m. The green flag is said to be flying at 3:47 p.m.
FOREWORD: Health screening for garage access begins at 7 a.m. (teams are assigned specific times). The main and final engine settings are made at 1:30 p.m. Drivers report to their cars at 3.20 p.m. The request is made at 3:27 p.m. The national anthem will be performed at 3:28 p.m.
DISTANCE: The race is 167 laps (250.5 miles) around the 1.5 mile oval.
LEVELS: Level 1 ends in round 40. Level 2 ends in round 80.
TV / RADIO: Fox will broadcast the race on television. Reporting begins at 3:30 p.m. Motor Racing Network coverage begins at 3:00 p.m. and can also be heard on mrn.com. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio broadcasts the broadcast from MRN.
FORECAST: The forecast from wunderground.com provides for isolated thunderstorms with a maximum of 85 degrees and a rain probability of 37% predicted at the start of the race.
LAST RACE: AJ Allmendinger won in Atlanta and defeated Noah Gragson and Justin Haley. Allmendinger will not take part in this race, but will take part in the Sunday race and will be one of four drivers competing for the Xfinity Dash 4 Cash $ 100,000 prize for the highest finisher.
LAST RACE IN MIAMI: Tyler Reddick led 84 out of 200 laps and won both the race (via Cole Custer and Chase Briscoe) and the Xfinity Series Championship last November.
