Scott Coker doesn’t like Ben Askren’s chances against Jake Paul in rumored boxing match
It's safe to say that Bellator President Scott Coker doesn't have too much faith in Ben Askren's strike.
With YouTube sensation boxer Jake Paul calling Askren, Dillon Danis and Conor McGregor after slipping former NBA star Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson-Roy Jones Jr.'s card last month, it appears that Askren the one who does it ends up in the boxing ring with Paul.
Rumors of a scheduled March 28 meeting in Los Angeles have got around, and if the bout does materialize, it would appear that former Bellator welterweight champion, Askren, will not be with the support of the current Bellator boss in charge took over, getting into the ring will be promoted in 2014 after Askren left for ONE championship earlier that year.
"I already know who is going to win this," Coker told MMA Junkie. "Ben is a wrestler. Let's put it that way, right? I think he'll get knocked out in a boxing match. But that's a different story in an MMA match."

Although he doesn't have too much faith in the transition from Askren to boxing, Coker seemed a little more confident in Paul and his brother Logan's ability to make a transition to MMA. In fact, he even seemed to leave the door a little open to the Paul brothers in case they ever decide to dip their toes in MMA waters in the future.
"I know the Paul brothers can do both," said Coker. “Jake is a real wrestler (and can box now). You've got boxing and wrestling, just learn the anti-jiu-jitsu techniques Frank and Ken Shamrock used to teach and you'll be fine. Don't worry you will be fine. "
Askren, who announced his resignation from the MMA in November 2018, may not be known for his strike, but is confident it will make things easier for Paul. He took to Instagram to take Paul's call and beat him up for "pretending to be an athlete".
Jake Paul has collected callouts from all over the sports world. Here is a look.
