The protesters chanted slogans and held various placards that read “Kill homophobia and sexism”.

Protesters in Tehran and other Iranian cities on Thursday set police stations and vehicles on fire over the death of Amini, 22, who died last week after being arrested in Tehran for "unsuitable clothing". She fell into a coma while in custody. The authorities announced that they would initiate investigations into the cause of death.
