Seinfeld Returns to Apartment to Tout New Cable Home on Comedy Central

Jerry Seinfeld returned to his former television home to announce the new cable home for his iconic sitcom of the same name.
This October, the entire 180-episode library of Seinfeld's episodes on Comedy Central, the sitcom's new linear cable house, will be unraveled after a long run on TBS. In the above promo, the title comedian's door buzzer draws his attention to a delivery of the 180 episodes (“That's a lot!”), Which he thinks is good as he regards his one-room apartment as “comedy headquarters” for himself . Comedy Central's “festivus-ivities” will officially begin on Saturday, October 9th, with a rollout of the most popular episodes voted for by fans. The full series will then begin airing on Comedy Central on Monday, October 11th.
Simultaneously with Seinfeld's linear move, all 180 episodes will also have a new streaming home, switching to Netflix after a long run on Hulu. Netflix had outbid Hulu, Amazon, WarnerMedia, NBCUniversal and Viacom for not only the US but also the global rights to Seinfeld, allegedly paying far north of the $ 500 million NBCUniversal spent to get The Office on Peacock set, and the $ 425 million that WarnerMedias funded HBO Max for friends on. Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos pointed out at the time of the deal that this would be the first time all of Seinfeld's episodes would be available worldwide on a single service and in 4K.
