Sen. Marsha Blackburn Mocked For Griping About Funding Elder Care
Republican Party's opposition to President Joe Biden's proposed infrastructure plan is forcing GOP politicians to take some bizarre positions in order to own the libraries.
Case in point: Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, who took to Twitter Wednesday to complain about various parts of the plan.
Given that Blackburn is conservative, it's no surprise that she spoke out against funding climate change studies and green transportation initiatives. However, she shocked many by revealing that she also has problems helping the country's oldest citizens, many of whom vote Republicans.
Lip service to support older Americans is Politics 101, so naturally many Twitter users were shocked by the tweet, which was quickly overwhelmed by negative comments.
The Democratic National Committee was quick to point out what Blackburn was saying.
Others accumulated ridicule.
Blackburn's tweet was so non-contact that some people suspected she was secretly negotiating with the White House.
However, one person had some advice for Blackburn and their Republicans.
