Simon Cowell Expresses Grief After Daughter Sets Up GoFundMe for Her 'America's Got Talent' and 'The Voice' Contestant Dad's Funeral Expenses

Singer Nolan Neal, who starred on both America's Got Talent and The Voice, has died. He was 41.
Neal was found dead at his Nashville home on Monday, July 18, with a cause of death not yet determined. However, he had a self-admitted history of drug abuse.
His death was announced on his official fan page, Nolan Neal Navy, which posted a message that read: "Sing in peace with the angels. The world is missing a bright light and Heaven just got a new music director. 05/10/80 - 07/18/22.”

America's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell weighed the death of the late contestant before the live shows began tonight.
"Unfortunately too much has happened over the years," Cowell, 62, told People. "I was thinking about it the other day. people who died too young. Every time it happens because you got to know her, it's awful.
"In that moment, it's like, 'What can I say?'" he said. "The unfortunate thing is that it's happened too many times and every time it happens it's hard."

Originally posted July 20: On Wednesday, Neal's daughter Caylin Cate started a GoFundMe page posted on his official Facebook page to raise money for her father's funeral expenses. More than $1,200 was raised in one hour to help the Neal family prepare for the funeral. The fundraiser will be posted on Neal's verified Facebook page, but here's the direct link.
Neal appeared on America's Got Talent in 2020. He impressed in the season 15 quarterfinals with his performance of his original song "Send Me A Butterfly". Another memorable performance was his original song "Lost," which he says he wrote after getting sober.
On NBC's The Voice in 2016, Neal landed a spot on Adam Levine's team after performing Incubus' "Drive" prior to his elimination.
