Simone Biles becomes first female athlete with Twitter hashtag - and it's a goat, natch
TOKYO - Just days before resuming her history at the gym, Simone Biles made an adorable piece of history on Twitter.
The social media platform announced that it had created a custom hashtag emoji for the gymnast, making her the first female athlete and the first Olympic athlete to receive such treatment.
And it's a goat, after.

If you tweet #SimoneBiles or even #Simone, the emoji will appear.
Biles' new competition jerseys feature a blinded goat she has named Goldie, a cheeky recognition of her status as the GOAT of her sport or the greatest of all time.
In a statement, Twitter said the emoji is intended to recognize Biles ’" legacy, accomplishments and epic uses of the platform. "
For the first six months of this year, Biles was the second most talked about Olympic athlete on the platform, behind Japanese swimmer Rikako Ikee, according to Twitter.
