Sofia Richie Is 'Still Processing' Scott Disick Split, Source Says: 'It Wasn't Some Fling'
Sofia Richie is still resigned to her separation from Scott Disick, a source told PEOPLE.
In May, PEOPLE confirmed that the couple had taken time for themselves. They had been together since the fall of 2017, two years after Disick separated from the mother of his three children, Kourtney Kardashian.
According to the source, 21-year-old Richie "is still processing the breakup".
"It was a serious relationship, not an affair, and it was there for Scott in difficult times," says the source. "It hurts to see all the speculation about Scott and Kourtney, but she's so young and gets so much attention. She'll be fine."
A Richie representative did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

They separated after the 37-year-old Disick applied for rehab treatment at the end of April. When a photo of the star at the rehab center leaked online on May 4, less than a week after arriving at the Colorado treatment facility, he checked himself and flew back to Los Angeles.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that Disick and Richie were taking a break, "so Scott can only focus on the most important things in his life - his health and his children."
"Scott is working on his problems. Sofia is with friends," said the source. "It was Sofia's decision to take a break."
Since then, Disick has been relatively reticent, despite spending time with Kardashian and their sons Reign (5) and Mason (10) and daughter Penelope (7). At the weekend, Kardashian (41) dedicated a sweet Father's Day tribute to her ex.
"Happy Father's Day, thankful for you and these three special ones," she signed a photo of the family.
A source told PEOPLE earlier this week that Disick and Kardashian, who ended their nine-year relationship almost five years ago, "are not together again", the exes are "incredibly close".
As for Disick's health? A source told PEOPLE after his rehab that the father of three is "determined to get better" and "talks to many people who can give him mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health".
Although the source refused to specify the nature of Disick's problems, he had to deal with alcohol abuse in the past. Although he has not publicly commented on the recent stay in rehab, his lawyer Marty Singer denied reports that his client was being treated for cocaine or alcohol abuse, and claimed that he should "work on his past trauma".
