Starting lineup for Sunday's GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway

The starting grid for the race of the GEICO 500 NASCAR Cup Series on Sunday on the Talladega Superspeedway (3:00 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) has been determined.
Martin Truex Jr. will start from pole position and Denny Hamlin will join him in the front row to lead the field for the 188 laps and 500 miles race on green.

The line-up for the race was determined by a random draw. The results were broadcast on FS1's “Race Hub”. The parameters for the draw were as follows:
Positions 1-12 are determined by a random drawing of charter teams in these positions in team owner points
Positions 13-24: Random draw between charter teams in these positions in owner points
Positions 25-36: Random draw between charter teams in these positions in owner points
Positions 37-40: are filled in by open, non-chartered teams in the order of owner points
