Store Closing List 2020: Macy's, Pier 1, Zara, Nordstrom, and More
Between the catastrophic effects of COVID-19 & aposs on retail and the continuing increase in online shopping, 2020 has published a list of store closures that is predictably extensive. According to a recent report by retail data company Coresight Research, 20,000 to 25,000 stores in the U.S. could be closed permanently this year. More than 4,000 stores say they have closed this year so far. More than half of the closures would be located in shopping centers that are already in danger, but have faced particular challenges due to social distance.
