Student is infuriated when roommate doesn’t wake him up for class: ‘He’s an adult’

A student doesn't think it's his fault that his roommate overslept.
He asked Reddit's "Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum for consideration. He and his roommate Brady have just started their freshman year at university. The two 18-year-olds have different lifestyles. Brady stays up late while the Reddit poster sure gets his eight hours of sleep every night.
Brady claims he can function with a few hours without sleep. But when his plan to stay up all night didn't work out, he blamed the Reddit poster.

"Last night he was talking to some of his friends on our floor quite late. I decided to head out around 10 p.m. and get ready for bed while he stayed up until almost 1:30 a.m.," he said.
The next morning, Brady slept through six of his alarm clocks. Meanwhile, the Reddit poster woke up and headed to class on time.
"I received a very angry text message from him asking why I didn't wake him up and that he is now late for his class. I responded by saying we are adults now," he wrote.
Watch this boring Brooklyn bedroom become a mid-century modern haven in just one day:
"I'm not responsible if he falls asleep on days when he knows he has classes early and he needs to make sure he falls asleep at a reasonable time if he can't wake up on time."

Redditors thought Brady was responsible for waking himself up.
"What don't people understand about being an adult and being responsible for yourself and your own schedule," said one user.
"He's an adult and is responsible for managing his sleep schedule to avoid being late or missing his classes," commented another.
"Unless he asked you to wake him up and you agreed to that, then that's his problem," one person added.
