Super GT's 2021 schedule will be "a lot better" for Honda
Three routes normally visited by the Japanese series - Okayama, Sugo and Autopolis - were canceled after the pandemic, while planned overseas visits on the Sepang in Malaysia and Buriram in Thailand routes also fell by the wayside.
That left only three venues for the 2020 schedule. Fuji visited the championship four times, Suzuka twice and Motegi twice.

This was seen as favoring Toyota, whose GR Supra was strongest in terms of the Fuji low-downforce layout, while rival manufacturers Honda and Nissan fared better on the other tracks where speed on the straight was less important.
However, the tentative schedule for 2021 includes all eight venues that should be visited this year and while there are doubts as to whether the international races will take place, the final calendar will likely put much more emphasis on high downforce tracks.
"It'll be a lot better for us next year," Baguette told Motorsport.com. "More tracks and of course Toyota will be less strong because we don't go to Fuji four times.
"The calendar will suit Honda even better, I think. So we will definitely have a strong package next year and I hope we can take the title."

Despite the advantage of visiting their home track four times, Honda was still narrowly beaten to this year's title by Honda when Team Kunimitsu couple Naoki Yamamoto and Tadasuke Makino snatched the title from TOM's husband Ryo Hirakawa.
