Indian actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai home on Sunday. The police said he committed suicide at the age of 34, but investigated.

Rajput made his debut at the Hindi cinema in Kai Po Che !, in 2013, and was awarded the Melbourne Indian Film Festival in 2017 for his film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. In this film, Rajput played the Indian cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Rajput's PR team released a statement on behalf of the family.
“It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We ask his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life and work as they have done so far. We ask the media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of mourning, ”the statement said.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences on Sunday.
"Sushant Singh Rajput ... a bright young actor who left early. He was outstanding on television and in films. His rise to the world of entertainment has inspired many and has left some memorable performances. Shocked by his death. My thoughts are with his family and fans. Om Shanti. "
