Tayshia Adams Has No Regrets and a One-Way Ticket to New York After Bachelorette Finale Engagement
After so many seasons of failed engagements, terrible breakups, and angry mothers, it's sure to be nice to end a season of the Bachelor franchise so ... happily.
At last night's finale, Tayshia Adams got engaged to Zac Clark and it was the least weird or skeptical thing we have felt about one of these finals in years. Tayshia clearly knew what she was doing, Zac was clearly very in love with her and the two looked absolutely delighted. We were thrilled to have an ending that didn't feel bad.
The future looks bright for the couple, and according to them, that future starts immediately. After walking incognito between LA and New York for months, Tayshia went to New York to be with her new fiancé.
"I don't have a return ticket right now," she told E! News. "So it works for us now."
A Brief History of the Bachelor and Bachelorette Degrees
What comes next, the couple are looking forward to the day when the coronavirus pandemic is no longer a problem.
"The one-way ticket to New York is a great start and we'll take it from there," said Zac. "I think in 2021 we're going to focus on building on this special foundation we've already built ... and we're going to have a big ass party in 2022."
Tayshia and Zac could only be physically together for a short time in the last few months after the proposal and mostly had to watch the show separately. She said looking at it only gave her more confirmation that Zac was the one.
"He always told me he was all in, but it's very different to hear him in his own environment in his interviews about how engaged he really was," she said. "It was really comforting and I don't know, it made me feel good. As if it confirmed the reasons I fell in love with him back then."
While Tayshia was really impressed with the way Zac got on with her family, he remembered first realizing how real things were on the Ferris wheel and then during the fantasy suite date.
"I knew we got closer on the night of the Fantasy Suites - not for reasons you might think, but we had some pretty meaningful conversations and then Tayshia fell asleep in my arms around 4am and there was no need To keep her awake There is no need to talk about anything else as if it was just that very peaceful, beautiful moment that solidified for me that we were moving in the right direction. "
In the end, Tayshia said she had no regrets and everything ended as it should, but she still might not be able to ever visit a particular Palm Springs resort again.
"I think it served the purpose for me," she said of La Quinta, her home for the duration of the Bachelorette filming. "He wants to go back almost every year ... I don't know. We'll see. Ask me next year."
