Terence Crawford could face Manny Pacquiao and will fight within four months, says Arum
Terence Crawford is likely to return to the ring in September or October, and a fight against Manny Pacquiao is the preferred option, says his promoter Bob Arum.
American Crawford, the WBO welterweight world champion and undefeated in 36 career battles, ideally wants to return when viewers are allowed to return to the venue once the coronavirus pandemic has sufficiently subsided.
Pacquiao, 41, was a top fighter like Crawford before, but didn't face him at that time.

His last fight was a victory over Keith Thurman in July 2019, while Crawford, who is aiming for a top-class competition, stopped Egidijus Kavaliauskas in December.
The other options to fight Crawford are Kell Brook, Yordenis Ugas, Shawn Porter and Thurman.
"We will let Terence fight in September or October," said Arum via ESPN.
"We want to bring him together with either Pacquiao, Kell Brook, Ugas or Porter."
When he faced Pacquiao, Arum added to talkSPORT: "This is the opponent that Terence would love to fight against, and I think he would."
"Well, that takes a lot of money and we have received suggestions from the Middle East.
"I don't know if the Middle East venues will allow viewers this year, they may not allow until there is a vaccine. That is the problem.
"We are shaken because none of these [venues] want to fight this year because of the corona virus.
"Otherwise we have to look for Terence Crawford to fight a big welterweight. There are a number of options. Thurman, Porter or this child Ugas, the Cuban who has a good, good welterweight.
"You're at Al [Haymon's] company PBC, but we work well with this company, so I don't think that's going to be a problem.
"And finally there is Kell Brook, whose management contacts me almost weekly.
"So the first option is Pacquiao if that is possible. The second option is to fight one of Al's boys. And the third option is Kell Brook if we can get him to the US."
