The 10 Most Popular Shows On Netflix Right Now (Oct. 26)

"The Queen’s Gambit" is the most popular show on Netflix according to the streaming service's public ranking system. The show is also the most popular offering on Netflix, regardless of the format.
The show, a Netflix original, debuted on October 23. She follows a young woman who, despite a difficult childhood as an orphan, masters chess. She competed in global tournaments in the 1960s and rose through the ranks of the game as she battled drug and alcohol addiction.
Other new Netflix originals also performed well. "Barbarians" took second place. This is a German show about barbarian tribes banding together to fight invasion of the Roman Empire. New episodes of the series "Unsolved Mysteries" took third place.
Netflix doesn't count this in the "Shows" ranking, but new episodes of David Letterman's "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" series of interviews ranks fifth on Netflix, regardless of format.

Netflix hits from the beginning of the month fell a few places. "The Haunting of Bly Manor" finished fourth, "Emily in Paris" seventh.
The Netflix original "Grand Army" took fifth place for the first time.
And the children's show "Cocomelon" was again at number six on the list. This is Netflix's most consistent hit in the shows category in months. It's only made up of three episodes, so I feel for the parents out there whose kids seem to want to watch the same storylines over and over again.
