The Bachelorette 's Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick Reveal They Have Coronavirus

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick have coronavirus.
The Bachelorette couple announced the news on Thursday, December 24th, on Instagram. "Unfortunately, this is our Christmas card this year," wrote the season 11 star. "We have Covid."
Bristowe said she and Tartick quarantined themselves prior to any plans to see their family members for Christmas. "We thought we were making a responsible decision to have ONE person who was work tested on a daily basis," noted the Dancing With the Stars champion. "Negative tests for days and days in a row. The day we saw her she went positive, which we all found out the next day, and so did we. Now, like many, we will spend Christmas alone."
The 35-year-old reality star then posted a message to her fans. "We just want everyone to know we feel safe, but Covid is bigger than us," added Bristowe. "Today we think of everyone who spends the holidays alone, of everyone who is sick or overcome something (as 2020 taught us a lot to overcome), and everyone in the health care sector who was not in the family and around they have been taking care of others for months and months now. We'll be fine !! Be Safe and Happy Holidays !! "
Stars open up over coronavirus battles
It didn't take long for some of her colleagues from the Bachelor Nation to bring congratulations.
"Get well soon," wrote Katie Morton. "I think of you both."
Tia Booth added, "I'm sorry! Get well soon!"
Tartick had also hinted that the couple would be spending Christmas alone this year, in a post shared on Instagram on Wednesday, December 23. "Just KB & I for Christmas and this is our card from our family to yours!" He was writing alongside a TikTok video. "And please send all TV and film recos so that I am not led back to it, of course, that I also get a lot."
This wasn't the first time Kaitlyn had taken a COVID-19 test. Earlier this month, she told Chicks' hosts at the office that she "had a false positive COVID test" while on Dancing With the Stars.
"I thought I was done. I thought I had to tell everyone, 'You know what? I have COVID and I can't continue this journey,'" she recalled. "I yelled hysterically. After that I had to do three tests in a row and if they called back negative I could go back on the show and it was them."
