Americans who were fired from their jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic could receive an additional $ 600 a week in unemployment benefits in addition to what they received from their state. The additional $ 600 that Americans receive has been controversial, especially given that two-thirds of the redundant workers receive more money from their unemployment benefits than from their jobs. As lawmakers are considering a new round of business finance, there are three proposals on how to replace the additional $ 600. Two of these would allow unemployed Americans to receive additional funds in addition to state unemployment benefits.
