AMC announced during a short commercial on Sunday night that its final 11th season of "The Walking Dead" would premiere this summer.
The summer date is a surprise as "TWD" usually starts the new season in October. The show's schedule was changed last year due to the pandemic.
As a result, AMC ordered a bonus of six episodes of the tenth season of the series, which debuted on the network on Sunday night. In September, AMC announced that "TWD" would end in 2022 with an expanded final season of 24 episodes.
Although no specific premiere date has been announced for Season 11, we know that "Fear TWD" will be back with nine new episodes on April 11, 2021 if we do detective work.
If "Fear" runs for nine weeks in a row and leads directly to a new season of "TWD", the show could be on television again on June 13, 2021. Currently "Fear TWD", "TWD" and "TWD: World Beyond" are all filming new episodes at the same time.
"TWD" currently has five more new episodes, which will be broadcast on AMC on Sunday evening at 9pm.
