The good, the bad and the ugly from the Vikings’ loss to the Bears
Minnesota had a week 15 game that it needed badly to win. Due to defensive battles, the Vikings failed to make it.
The team now only has a 3% chance of reaching the postseason. The Vikings still have a chance, but it's a long way.
However, the team should continue to judge what went right and what didn't throughout the 2020 season, particularly in the games they lost to division opponents.
Chicago beat Minnesota and now the Vikings must figure out how to improve in the two remaining games. Here are the good, the bad, and the ugly from the Vikings' recent loss:
The good: the offense

Against a bear defense capable of making stops, the Viking offensive was quite successful. Minnesota put up 27 points. Dalvin Cook averaged 5.5 yards per carry. Justin Jefferson reached 104 reception areas. Minnesota made some costly mistakes on the offensive, but for the most part, the group cannot be blamed for that loss.
The good: Dan Bailey

Bailey is back. The Viking kicker made all three of his extra points and his two field goals. After their terrible performance against the Buccaneers and a rather poor performance against the Jaguars, the team can take comfort that their kicker reacted positively.
The bad: the defense

The Viking defense gave up 33 points. David Montgomery ran 146 meters. Mitch Trubisky threw for 202 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The defense had a sack after scoring zero in the last game against the Buccaneers. Besides the interception mentioned above, this was a poor defense performance. It cost Minnesota an important game.
The Ugly: The Vikings 2020 Season

It looks like the Vikings are in a bad place. Minnesota is unlikely to reach the playoffs in 2020. The team will also not make a top selection with 6: 8. For now, Minnesota has entered the NFL limbo where it can't land a top rookie and get a shot at a deep postseason run.
