‘The Offer’: Anthony Ippolito To Play Al Pacino In Paramount+’s Making Of ‘The Godfather’ Series

EXCLUSIVE: Anthony Ippolito (Grand Army) has been hired to play Al Pacino alongside Miles Teller and Matthew Goode in Paramount + 's upcoming limited series, The Offer, about the making of The Godfather.
The offer is based on the experience of two-time Oscar winner Al Ruddy (Teller) in directing the legendary film The Godfather from 1972, which Francis Coppola directed and adapted from Puzo's bestselling novel with Mario Puzo. The film starred Marlon Brando, Pacino, James Caan, John Cazale, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton and Talia Shire; it was nominated for 11 Academy Awards and won three - including Ruddy for Best Picture.

The 10-episode series of events is written and executed by Nikki Toscano, who also does show runs, and creator and Oscar and Emmy nominated writer Michael Tolkin (Escape at Dannemora, The Player). Teller and Ruddy will also serve as executive producers on the series along with Leslie Grief (Hatfields & McCoys). Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman) leads the first and last block. The offer is produced by Paramount TV Studios.
Ippolito was last seen on Netflix's teen drama series Grand Army. His films include Pixels, The English Teacher, You Have the Right to Remain Violent, and Bella. He is represented by Paradigm and Untitled Entertainment.
