1. Ford Mustang GT with Performance Package
The Ford Mustang deserves first place as the fastest car under $50,000. It's also the sports car with the highest iSeeCars Quality Score of 8.4 out of 10 for its coupe version and also tops our list of best sports cars. The highest-performing trim under $50,000 is the GT trim, which features a 5.0-liter V8 with 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, which when paired with the GT Performance package, converts in 3.9 seconds can reach 0-60. The GT performance package includes summer tires, Brembo front brakes, heavy-duty front springs, chassis struts, a larger radiator, retuned chassis and stability control, and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
2.Chevrolet Camaro
In second place is the "sports car for everyone", the Chevrolet Camaro. The base Chevy Camaro comes standard with a 2.0-liter, 275-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that accelerates from 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph. For under $40,000, buyers can choose higher trim levels, including the LT1 and 1SS, which have a 455-hp 6.2-liter V8 engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. Opting for the more powerful V8 in these trims offers a 0-60 time of 4.0 seconds
3. BMW M2
In third place is the BMW M2, the high-performance version of the 2-series. The 2022 M240i xDrive coupe features a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine that produces 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This sporty vehicle accelerates from 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds.
4. Dodge Charger Scat Package
The muscle car Dodge Charger Scat Pack takes fourth place. The Charger Scat Pack features a 485hp V8 engine and includes special features such as stiffer suspension, a limited slip rear differential and Brembo brakes. It can reach 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. The Scat Pack widebody fairing features upgrades including flared fenders, adaptive damping, Brembo brakes, high-performance tires and black 20-inch wheels.
