This Is Reportedly What Caused Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock's Divorce
Many Kelly Clarkson fans were shocked when the singer filed for divorce from her nearly seven-year-old husband Brandon Blackstock on June 4.
The singer cited "irreconcilable differences" and a separation date of "TBD" in court documents obtained from People. Now more details emerge about what could have led to the split. "It just came out of nowhere. Your marriage was so strong," a source told People.
Apparently, the family's time in quarantine did not help relationship problems that Clarkson and Blackstock already had. (They share two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander, while he has two older children from a previous marriage.) "It was a stressful time," another source told People. "[Quarantine in Montana] has exacerbated all the problems."

"[They] were like friends for a while," said a source about Clarkson and Blackstock, who married in October 2013 after originally meeting in 2006, both of whom work so hard. It is almost impossible to have fun, especially when the children need constant attention. "
Kelly Clarkson himself spoke about the very attributable problems that can occur for a quarantined family. "We were very close and it was kind of crazy. I'm not going to lie," she said in May. "There is definitely cabin fever. Being a working mother is a challenge."
That being said, she loves her property in Montana. "It's a really nice ranch and a nice getaway for our family," Clarkson said. "Brandon and I have been dreaming of this since we were both children. We would call that at home."

The singer is now back in Los Angeles, where she was photographed with her dog over the weekend. E! News also noted that Clarkson was not wearing her wedding ring.
People report that she focuses on work and her children. "Kelly has been through a lot and she thought Brandon was happy to the end of her days," said one of her sources. "It's very sad."
