'This Morning' hosts surprised as former TV presenter Michael Underwood reveals he's now a teacher

Michael Underwood surprised This Morning's presenter, Phillip Schofield, and spectators of the show on Tuesday when he shared on the program that he is now a teacher.
Underwood, known for working at both CBBC and CITV, appeared on the school's show where he works to promote a children's writing contest with TV star wife Angellica Bell.
Schofield remarked, "Michael, I had no idea. You are a teacher! Are you at school now?

"I'm in school right now, my class is here," said 44-year-old Underwood before turning the camera to his students. "Say hello, boys."

Underwood explained his career move: "I originally graduated from university."
After switching to television after graduating, Underwood worked on children's television and hosted shows such as The Big Bang, Jungle Run and Ministry of Mayhem.
He told the hosts that he was teaching again when "work was quiet" while Bell was "flying in her career".

"I started thinking about using the skills I've developed over the years and turning them into something like teaching. I chose to do it," he said.

Schofield wasn't the only one who didn't know, as This Morning's Lizzy Cundy also shared her surprise about Underwood's new profession.
She tweeted, "My old buddy Michael Underwood is a teacher !!! Wow, I never knew !! Incredible !! And what a great 500 word contest #ThisMorning."

The fans at home were also surprised by the news when they said, "Michael Underwood is now a teacher ?!
"Omg he's a teacher? Wow #thismorning," said another.
On Tuesday, Underwood and Bell, who are parents of two children, launched a new 500-word children's writing contest to open the switch to Black Lives Matter across the UK.
500 Words was originally developed by Chris Evans in 2011 and is the largest children's story writing competition in the UK.
