TikTok mom shares ‘secrets’ behind her innovative ‘stay healthy station’
Shannon Doherty is a Connecticut mother of four and the founder of Coco and Lala, a lifestyle brand for women and children. She's also a mom vlogger at TikTok, where she shares tips and tricks on managing a household, like doing a kids breakfast station or a simple gas pump hack.
Doherty showed how her family followed safety protocols with their "stay healthy ward" during the pandemic.
Near the entrance to the house, the mother strategically placed a bar cart with supplies. There are different flavors of candy scented hand sanitizer key rings to take away. Doherty set up a container of prepackaged face masks in adorable patterns and a bowl of trendy mask necklaces for those who feel like it. It contained a pack of hand wipes and additional hand sanitizer in the flavors Blow Pop, Dots and Smarties.
The idea was a hit with TikTok users and generated over 1.5 million views.
“It makes me use the candy scented fabric, and I love the mask fabric. The pink rose buds are beautiful, ”wrote another.
"This is the extra level I want to reach as a parent," commented someone.
"OH MY GOD. I love it," said one person.
Doherty has taken steps to keep her family safe during the pandemic. In March, Coco and Lala launched a t-shirt campaign to encourage others to wash their hands and raise funds for No Kid Hungry.
"My kids miss their grandparents and aunts," Doherty said, according to Yahoo News. "I want my children to know that small acts like washing their hands today can make a big difference to their grandparents and loved ones to keep everyone safe."
