Trisha Goddard received 'even more vile abuse' in wake of Leigh Francis 'Bo'Selecta!' apology
Trisha Goddard announced that she was exposed to "worse abuse" after Leigh Francis apologized for pretending to be the chat show host and other black stars on Bo ’Selecta!
The 62-year-old recently said that she hated the change of identity on the show, which ran from 2002 to 2009, and that her children were therefore exposed to bullying at school.
Speaking about Good Morning Britain on Monday, Goddard said, "I have not noticed until recently how badly it bullies my children.

"Leigh [Francis] opted for an apology, and I just want to say that since Leigh made that apology, I've been worse abused."

In a Newsnight appearance last week, Goddard explained why she "couldn't see" Francis' portrayal of her on Channel 4.
She said, "Let me clarify that if the parody were just me, that would be one thing, but it was the big lips, all the things every black child was bullied about.
"I can laugh at myself, I made people joke about me, but it was the exaggerated race with the big lips, the big wide hips, the rice and the peas. I couldn't really see it."
Francis said in his apology that he "didn't know how insulting" his portrayals of black celebrities like Goddard, Michael Jackson and Craig David had been.

"I want to apologize for any surprise I caused, whether I was Michael Jackson, Craig David or Trisha Goddard, all the people I'm a big fan of," he said in an Instagram video.
"I think we're all on a study trip."
