Trump appears to threaten aliens with 'military the likes of which we've never had before'

Donald Trump did not deny media coverage that the Department of Defense established a task force to investigate "unidentified extraterrestrial phenomena" after the Air Force released a video earlier this year showing pilots flying a UFO from which many have speculated it was a UFO.
"Can you explain why the Department of Defense created a UFO task force?" Fox News host Maria Bartiromo asked Mr Trump in an interview on Sunday.
"Are there UFOs?" She asked.
"Well, I need to check that out. I mean, I heard that. I heard that two days ago. So I'll check that out. I'll take a close look at that, "said Trump.
Then he quickly got into a boast about the power of the US military, which some people on Twitter viewed as the president threatening aliens with human weapons.
“I'll tell you this, we've now created a military like we've never had before in terms of equipment. The equipment we have, the weapons we have, and hopefully - thank God we never have to use them, "Trump said.
"Russia, China, they are all jealous of what we had. All built in the US, we rebuilt, $ 2.5 trillion. As for the other question, I have to review it. I did two days ago heard of it, ”he said.
Mr Trump has not shied away from playful chatter about aliens and UFOs.
In a June interview with his son Don Jr., the president implied that he had seen some "interesting things" about the famous alleged UFO sighting and crash in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947.
U.S. Defense officials claimed the crashed object was a weather balloon, but the statement hasn't stopped UFO enthusiasts from viewing the city and wider region as some sort of pilgrimage site.
Eventually, the U.S. military admitted that the wreck was part of a top-secret nuclear project.
