Trump nominates Hope Hicks, Ric Grenell to government posts
President Donald Trump announced plans on Tuesday to appoint another group of top allies to various government bodies, another sign that his term is coming to an end.
The President appointed Hope Hicks as a board member overseeing the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. Hicks has long been one of Trump's closest confidants outside of his own family and returned to the White House this year after leaving earlier in his presidency. Her diagnosis of Covid-19 this fall sparked a spate of positive tests in Trump's orbit, including the president himself.
The President also appointed former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to serve on the Board of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and White House Secretary Derek Lyons, who notified Trump of his plans to leave the job early Month.

Trump also appointed Ezra Cohen-Watnick, the acting Undersecretary of State for Defense for Intelligence and Security, to chair the Public Interest Declassification Board.
Other administrative staff include Russ Vought, Trump's Office of Management and Budget Director, who has been nominated for a seat on the US Naval Academy's Board of Visitors. Stephanie Grisham, the former White House press secretary, who never held a formal press conference in the public media during her tenure, before the National Board for Education Sciences; and Ric Grenell, Trump's former ambassador to Germany and acting director of national intelligence who later joined Trump's re-election campaign and was nominated for the United States' Holocaust Memorial Council.
These people were among the more than 40 people named in various "key positions" on bodies such as the Fine Arts Commission, the National Museum and Library Services Board, and the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation.
The list includes people who contributed to Trump's political campaigns, as well as Paolo Zampolli, who boasts of introducing Trump to today's First Lady Melania Trump. Zampolli was nominated for a position on the Kennedy Center Board.
Trump has released a handful of other appointment lists in the past few weeks, giving posts to the likes of Kellyanne Conway, a campaign manager and former presidential advisor for 2016, and Brian Hook, the Trump administration's former US special envoy for Iran.
