Trump Rips 'Dumb Son Of A Bitch' Mitch McConnell At RNC Donor Event: Report
Former President Donald Trump attacked Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), The Senate minority leader, during a political fundraiser at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Saturday, calling him a "stupid son of a bitch" while at the same time McConnell's wife ridiculed, according to the Washington Post.
Trump was speaking at a Republican National Committee meeting in Palm Beach when he criticized McConnell and other Republicans for believing they hadn't done enough to overthrow the 2020 elections - including during President Joe Biden's June 6 election certificate. January.
Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol during this certification in response to his call to go to the Capitol and "fight like hell". The uprising resulted in at least five deaths and hundreds of arrests.

Trump also reportedly expressed disappointment that former Vice President Mike Pence did not have the "courage" to block his election loss.
McConnell was among those who publicly punished Trump for inciting the mob in the days following the uprising, saying his actions were "a shameful breach of duty". McConnell, however, continued to declare his loyalty to Trump, saying he would support a Trump-powered 2024 if he won her party's nomination.
Trump also reportedly twisted McConnell's wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, with the crosshair during his speech on Saturday. Chao resigned shortly after the January 6 riot, arguing that she was "deeply concerned" by the violence.

"She suffered so much," Trump said sarcastically of Chao.
“I hired his wife. Did he ever say thank you? " he added.
His criticism of McConnell, Pence and Chao was confirmed by Politico.
A Senator representative did not immediately respond to HuffPost's request for comment on Sunday.
When asked about Trump's comments during an appearance on CNN's State of the Union on Sunday, Asa Hutchinson (R), governor of Arkansas, described them as worrying and unhelpful.
"Anything that divides is a problem. It doesn't help us to fight the battles in Washington and at the state level," he said. "Whenever it gets attention, we don't need it. We need unity. "
