Trump’s Truth Social just got a criminal subpoena over its dubious SPAC deal
The parent company of Donald Trump's app, Truth Social, was subpoenaed June 30 as part of a criminal investigation into its difficult attempt to go public through a blank check company, Digital World Acquisition Corporation (DWAC) (pdf). Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), which owns Truth Social, has been subpoenaed along with unnamed current and former TMTG employees for information about the deal. It is unclear whether Trump was among them.
