Your abs will always be better when you are working with a load, just as it is when you are training other muscle groups. If you are able to get your hands on a kettlebell for your home gym, this is one of the most versatile tools you can use to build your body.
But having kettlebells is only half the battle. You also need to know how to use them - especially if you are used to bodyweight training that includes exercises like crunches and planks. Repeat the series for a full core punching session for a total of 4 rounds. Make sure your spine is in a strong and secure position throughout. So if you make the first effort and round your back, switch to a lighter kettlebell or let the weight drop completely.
