President Donald Trump's campaign left the late rapper Tupac Shakur a ticket to the vice-presidential debate on Wednesday night as an excavation to Senator Kamala Harris after a recent interview, according to the New York Post.
In an interview with Angela Rye last month, Harris was asked who she thought was "the best rapper in the world".
"Tupac," replied the Democratic vice-presidential candidate, giggling after realizing her mistake.
Trump campaign senior advisor Jason Miller confirmed that there was a ticket left for the '90s rapper in the debate between Vice President Mike Pence and Harris, the New York Post reported.
"I can confirm that we left a ticket for Tupac Shakur, who is known to be Sen. Harris' favorite rapper," Miller told journalists during a conference call. "I don't know if he'll show up. Personally, I'm more of a Biggie fan if he's still alive, but we'll have a ticket waiting for Mr. Shakur."
One of Tupac's family members told TMZ that the Trump campaign was "clearly disrespectful" to the relatives of the late rapper with the invitation.
"We should know Trump's lack of respect for the black and brown community," Mopreme Shakur, Tupac's step-brother, told TMZ.
