Princess Estelle of Sweden is a teenage queen!
The palace celebrated Estelle's 9th birthday on Tuesday with the release of four new portraits. The princess looks more adult than ever in the photos that Kate Gabor took at Haga Castle outside Stockholm - where Estelle lives with her parents and 4-year-old brother Prince Oscar.
In addition to three solo shots, Princess Estelle posed for a portrait with Prince Oscar and Rio, the family's Cavapoo (partly poodle, partly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). The royal siblings all smile as the dog sits between them.
Princess Estelle is the eldest child of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel and the eldest grandchild of King Carl XVI. Gustaf. This puts her in second place for the Swedish throne after her mother.

At a young age, Princess Estelle is preparing for her future role as monarch. In October she accompanied mother Princess Victoria and grandfather King Carl Gustaf at the inauguration of the Golden Bridge in Stockholm.

And the princess showed her enthusiasm for the role in the summer by dressing in traditional costume to celebrate the National Day (national holiday) in Sweden with Prince Oscar.
She was depicted in traditional Swedish national costume - but she is too young to wear the hat known as Sverigedräkten. Swedish princesses do not wear the headscarf until they are married.
