Twitter erupts after Derrick Henry’s vicious stiff-arm on Lions CB
Tennessee Titans Running Back Derrick Henry is no stranger to throwing defenders like rag dolls with his vicious stiff arm, and he did so against the Detroit Lions in week 15.
After the Titans drove into Lions territory between 14 and 7, Henry took a carry outside where he met Lions cornerback Alex Myres.
King Henry immediately tossed Myres aside and on the sidelines as if he were nothing that would allow the Titans to retreat a few extra yards. Tennessee would end the ride with a touchdown run from Ryan Tannehill.
In case you missed Henry adding another victim to his list of legendary stiff arms, watch the piece again.
As is usually the case when Henry arms someone stiffly into the stratosphere, Twitter had a big day when he responded:
Henry's stiff arm isn't the only thing to talk about in this game, however.
The Alabama product finished the first half with 14 runs for 80 yards and one touchdown. He needs an average of 156 rushing yards per game over Tennessee's final three yards to reach 2,000 yards.
Henry is also battling for his second straight crown after starting the day as the league's leading rusher. Should Henry accomplish this feat, he would be the first to run back since LaDainian Tomlinson (2006-07).
