Like the rest of us, celebrities sway from the headlines. We have been horrified to learn more black victims of violence, despite the fact that so many have joined the Black Lives Matter movement and campaigned for racial justice. The murder of Rayshard Brooks by the police in Atlanta on Friday was a terrible indication of how much more needs to be done. This time film mogul Tyler Perry intervened to offer financial comfort to Brooks' widow Tomika Miller and his four children.
"It is so sad that a horrible murder will squeeze the latest murder out of the news cycle if everyone points to a collective problem," Perry wrote on Facebook and Twitter on Sunday when he also referred to the case of a black man who has been missing seven years. “All black lives are important. All of these cases are important. And now Rayshard Brooks in the city that I call home. "

According to People, Perry will pay for Brooks' funeral expenses and has offered to pay tuition for his 13-year-old stepson Mekai and three daughters Dream (1), Memory (2) and Blessing. who turned 8 on the day of her father's death. This generosity reflects the amount of donations Gianna Floyd has received since her father George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis last month. College is nice, but we hope that these children will get more comfort and help right away.

This story outraged me as much as the George Floyd video, and yet nothing was done about it.

On Friday night, the police answered a call over Brooks, who was sleeping in his car when Wendy passed through. While they arrested him, he appeared to grab one of the officer's taser weapons and fled, and one of the officers, Garrett Rolfe, shot him twice in the back. Rolfe has been released by the police, and the prosecutor is reportedly considering suing him for crime.
An unnamed source told people that Perry "spoke to Rayshard's family and wanted to do something to help".
Forbes has just named Perry the sixth-highest earnings of 2020 after grossing $ 97 million by June 4, even in a pandemic. He just opened a 330-acre studio in the middle of Atlanta, so he's in a good position to help Brooks' family, and we hope that he can use his financial resources to make changes in this country while he's there is.
