UFC on ESPN 40 video: Bryan Battle’s brutal head kick KOs Takashi Sato in 44 seconds

Bryan Battle pulled off one of the most brutal headbutt knockouts in recent memory against Takashi Sato at UFC on ESPN 40.
Battle (8-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC), "The Ultimate Fighter 29" middleweight champion, dropped back to welterweight and had a sensational debut. He landed the perfect headbutt on Sato (16-6 MMA, 2-3 UFC) just 44 seconds after their fight on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

After the win, Battle said he felt the headbutt was something he could use to connect with Sato - who hasn't done strikes since 2015 - in the octagon.

It's crazy," Battle said in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. "It's something we saw, it's something we expected. I haven't seen it happen so quickly. That was probably the nicest strike I've ever thrown."
During his post-fight interview, Battle Bryan named Barberena as an interesting matchup but provided a more poignant reference to undefeated Ian Garry.
"I'm not saying this man is ducking me, but at least he's protected," Battle said of Garry. "I want you. I want all the clout. Neither of us has ranked, nothing is holding us back."
