Uganda will host thousands of Afghan refugees
After the Taliban quickly took over their homeland, Uganda is said to temporarily accept 2,000 Afghan refugees. Uganda's Minister for Aid, Disaster Risk Reduction and Refugees, Esther Anyakun, told the country's daily that President Yoweri Museveni had granted a US request to let her stay in Uganda for three months. Uganda is home to more refugees than any other country in Africa.
