USWNT's Alex Morgan leaving Tottenham Hotspur to return to the U.S.

Alex Morgan goes home.
Morgan, the 31-year-old headliner of the U.S. women's national team, who was loaned to FA Women's Super League team Tottenham Hotspur by Orlando Pride in September, confirmed on Monday that she'd been England in a little more after five appearances than three games leaves months with Spurs.
Morgan will return to Orlando ahead of the 2021 NWSL season.
"I will forever be grateful to the club, my teammates and Spurs supporters for looking after me and my family so well," said Morgan, who just four months after first handing it over to their first child, daughter Charlie, Landed in Tottenham was pro footballing husband Servando Carrasco. "When I got to London I realized that I was part of a world class organization that gave me the opportunity to get back into the game I love."

Morgan was one of several USWNT stars who hopped the Atlantic on ink deals with English clubs last summer. Sam Mewis - named US Football's Sportswoman of the Year last week - and Rose Lavelle signed with Manchester City, while Tobin Heath and Christen Press joined Manchester United.
But Morgan's debut with Spurs was delayed until November when she recovered from her maternity leave. She played five games in all competitions, including losing the FA Cup to rival Arsenal in north London last month. Both of Morgan's goals came in the league game. She scored her first goal against Brighton and Hove Albion on December 6 and her second against Aston Villa last week. Both goals came from the penalty spot.
"We can confirm that Alex Morgan will return to the US in the New Year after the conclusion of the first half of the Barclays FA Women's Super League season," Tottenham said in a statement.
Morgan has made 170 international appearances, leading the US to gold medals at the 2012 Olympics and the last two FIFA World Cup titles, including last year's triumph in France, where she topped the scorers' lists with teammate Megan Rapinoe. She returned to the USWNT last month for the first time since the Americans won the 2019 World Cup against the Netherlands.
