Vikings QB Kellen Mond named Minnesota’s most intriguing project
Minnesota saw Kellen Mond fall in the third round and despite a starting quarterback, the Vikings took the opportunity to land a possible long-term successor.
For this, according to Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report, Mond was named the most fascinating project of the Vikings. Gagnon wrote:
“The tempting Texas A&M product slipped into Round 3, where it landed with the Minnesota Vikings, who owe veteran Kirk Cousins $ 76 million over the next two years. Injury to cousins aside, it almost certainly means Moon will hold a tablet as a rookie - and likely a sophomore as well.
And that's fine, because even though Moon has all the tools to become a franchise quarterback, it takes work and time. "
Moon has to evolve, of course. And it's not a given that a third round pick will ever become a starting player. But he has some time to study under Kirk Cousins for now.
