Watch the Teaser for 'Outlander' Star Sam Heughan's New Travel Docu-Series on Starz

Starz has announced a new travel documentary series called Men in Kilts: a road trip with Sam and Graham with Outlander series stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish. Heugan first had the idea for the series in the form of a podcast and originally had the title Clan Lands.
"I wanted to do a podcast in my spare time and thought I would take some pictures for it," Heughan told in 2019. "The more I started producing it, the more I would do it." produced and I really enjoyed it. So I decided to make it a TV show! We finished filming and I dare say I think it looks really funny. "
The half-hour series with eight episodes without a screenplay "is a celebration of Scottish history and culture, while Heughan and McTavish take viewers on their adventures, discover the rich, complex heritage of their home country, meet various local artisans and experts, and experience real moments of awe and fascination when the duo shares their travels with the audience instead of simply guiding them, "said a press release from Starz.

Heughan plays Jamie Fraser, the Scottish highlander who meets and falls in love with Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a post-war American woman who dates back to 18th century Scotland. McTavish played Dougal MacKenzie, Fraser's strict uncle, in the first two seasons of the show.

It looks like it's time for Jamie to trade his horses for something that may require serious off-roading. No release date has yet been set for this series.
